Madeline offered up the following prayer this evening after we prayed a Hail Mary together as a family:
"Tank" you God for Mommy, Daddy, Baby Rae, and for helping Ivy speak. In the name of the "Fater," Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.
Note: Ivy is my parents' yellow Lab who has just learned the nifty trick of speaking. Madeline called Gaba today and asked to talk to Ivy as she always does. Their conversation went something like this:
"Hi, Ivy!"
"Woof! Woof!"
She's very thankful that she'll no longer have to endure one-sided conversations with one of her favorite friends.
